What is IRS Where's My Refund?

Where's My Refund (WMR) is the official IRS tool to track your federal tax refund status. Available at irs.gov/refunds and through the IRS2Go app. It shows three stages: Return Received, Refund Approved, and Refund Sent. It updates once per day, usually overnight. You need your SSN, filing status, and exact refund amount to use it.
